Season’s Greetings and Logopoeia

I really like this observation by Rachel Blau DuPlessis:

“With witty and even snooty attention to etymology, spur ends (or Eliot’s ‘butt ends’) of colloquialisms, esoteric diction, scientific or rare word choices, polysyllabic ‘philoprogenitives,’ a writer of logopoeia produces a poetry of ideas and wordplay, intellectual allusions made in poetry, dissenting resistant analytics, discursive gear stripping.”
