The inaugural program is set to air Thursday Sept. 7 at 1 pm Central time over WSUM. Authors reading from their works will include Gertrude Stein, Cass King, Charles Bukowski, Sylvia Plath, Nikki Giovanni, Allen Ginsberg, Dylan Thomas, Anne Sexton, Adrienne Rich, e.e. cummings, William S. Burroughs, and Lisa Buscani.
As you can see, these authors span a range of styles–constructivists, beats, confessionalists, slam poets–and this kind of variety will inform each program. The edginess and passion you’ll hear will fall safely within the boundaries of ‘decency’ as defined by the FCC.
